Within the last few hours it has been reported that the Browns have traded controversial receiver Kellen Winslow to the Tampa Bay Bucs in return for undisclosed draft picks, plural. This is no big surprise. Sure, Winslow is the son of his hall of fame father of the same name. Sure, Kellen made the Pro Bowl in 2007. But otherwise his 5 years with the Browns have been disappointing. He missed most of his first two years with injuries. Last season was a nightmare between the poor play and the hospitalization due to staph which then became a suspension for making disparaging comments about the team. It was a distraction. It appears that we can take a couple of things from this trade. First that the new regime could care less about names. Good. And second that the new brass value the draft. Also good. I have nothing bad to say about this trade.
Go Browns!
