The Browns have hired who may be the most important assistant coach this coming season. It is no secret that the Browns desperately need to beef up their linebacker position. There is a decent chance that the Team may use their first draft pick on a LB to help out with the woeful pass rush. The new coach responsible for the linebackers is Matt Eberflus. He spent the last 8 years as the Associate Head Coach at the University of Missouri. Last season, Eberflus helped the team capture the Big 12 North Division Championship. He has been coaching in the college ranks since 1992. Prior to Missouri, he coached the secondary at the University of Toledo. In 2000, his troops forced 31 turnovers to lead the country with the best turnover margin. Eberflus knows what it is like to play linebacker as he played that position with the University of Toledo. He was a team captain in his senior year. He has a connection to Cleveland as his wife is a native of Browns country. He has his work cut out for him. Go Browns!
