Bad News Browns

Well...today brought two rather depressing news reports.

1. ESPN reports that our Pro Bowl defensive lineman Shaun "Big Baby" Rogers has not attended this week's voluntary Team workouts. The relationship between Rogers and Mangini has allegedly been cool for a while now. The tension began with Mangini supposedly snubbing Rogers twice, once in the locker room and again at a public event. Rogers is reported to have asked the Team not to pick up his 6 million dollar option earlier this off-season and treat him as a free agent instead; the Team paid the option. We like to think that Shaun is simply taking a rest this week as he is not the only player who is not attending.

2. Miami news reports that Donte Stallworth's blood alcohol level at the time he hit and killed the pedestrian with his Bentley on the Miami causeway almost one week ago was 0.12 - above the legal limit (not by much, but still legally drunk). The police have refused to confirm that report. We would like to think the report is mistaken, but our optimism is running on fumes. It looks like we better start looking for another receiver as Donte seems headed for big legal troubles.

Keep the faith folks. Professional sports can drive you crazy. If our Team has any degree of self-respect it will overcome this adversity.

Go Browns!
