Brian Orakpo - Potential First Pick in the Draft for the Browns?

Browns Fans: if you want to see highlights of the college player that is now being predicted in several mock drafts to be our number one pick in the draft, take a look at the link above.

This young man is a beast. The Texas senior is 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs about 263 pounds. He can play either defensive end or outside linebacker. At the Combine, he was ranked number one in the nation among more than 200 college defensive ends. He recorded 11.5 sacks in 2008 - exactly what the Browns need to help our woeful pass rush.

The lingering concern about Orakpo, as explained in an earlier post on this website, is his proneness to injury. He missed a few games in 2007 because of a serious knee injury. He injured his hamstring at the Combine causing him to miss some drills. But we can only assume that his health was examined closely by the Browns when they had a private workout with Brian after the Combine.

Go Browns!
