Either Wood or Mack would be a welcome addition to our Team given Fraley's age and the poor performance of our offensive line last season, especially up the middle and on the right side.
Eric Wood is 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighs 310 pounds. He is currently projected to be picked in round two of the Draft. Wood is ranked third among 88 centers in the Draft. He performed fairly well at the Combine in Indy.
Wood was an all-Big East selection the past three seasons (first team in 2008 and 2007 and second team in 2006). He set a Louisville school record for the most consecutive starts (49) which proves his stamina and durability. He is also versatile in that he can play guard as well as Center. He was a finalist for the Rimington award for the best Center in college football.
Eric is from Cincinnati and was a loyal Bengals fan as a kid.
Wood's stock is going up as a result of good Combine results and solid workouts since. He is becoming a hotter commodity.
We are happy with the Browns concentrating on the offensive line so long as we also draft well at the linebacker position.
Go Browns!
