Welcome Pork Chop

The Browns have signed free agent offensive lineman Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack from the Seattle Seahawks.

Womack is an eight-year veteran who has played his whole career with the Seahawks since being drafted in the fourth round in 2001. He has been a valuable player in Seattle. He has started more than half the games that he has played in since being drafted. Floyd is very versatile in that he can be moved to any position on either side of the offensive line except the center.

Pork Chop has some serious size as you might imagine from the nickname. He is a little more than 6 foot 4 inches tall and weights between 330 and 340 pounds. He is 30 years old.

Ironically, Floyd was born in Cleveland. Not in Ohio, however, but Cleveland Mississippi.

Womack is a good signing to fill the gap left by Shaffer and to fix the imbalance in our O-Line. Thomas and Steinbach should be pleased that help is on its way.

Welcome Pork Chop. Our DAWGS are waiting.

Go Browns!
