George Kokinis is the ultimate thorn in the side of the media. He makes Eric Mangini look like Jerry Jones.
Yesterday, Kokinis gave his final scheduled press conference before Draft Day. The reporters in Berea must have been thrilled at the scoop that they received from "Mysterio". No answers on who the Browns might select in the Draft; or which position is most pressing; or the quarterback situation; or the Jay Cutler rumours; or the Braylon Edwards situation; or Derek Anderson's injury; or whether Cleveland is still a part of Ohio.
We love it. Kudos George. This is not anti-media as some will complain. This is smart managing. The current regime treats the dissemination of internal Team business as being strictly on a "need to know basis". We have no problem with that. It is bad management to tip your hand at certain things like trade rumours and Draft picks - saying too much only results in the elimination of options. The fans do not care how much Kokinis divulges at press conferences. We care about one thing: winning football games. Secondary to that is cost. Nothing else really matters.
Go Browns!
