Pass Rush is the Browns' Number One Priority

As Draft Day approaches, we want to take yet another opportunity to convince any remaining dissidents of the Browns' desperate need for a pass rusher like Texas Longhorn Defensive End Brian Orakpo.
Our pass rush statistics last season were abominable. We had 17 total sacks - tied for second worst in the NFL with the Bengals (the Kansas City Chiefs had just 10). For comparison, there were two players in the league who had more sacks than our entire Team last season - Joey Porter of the Miami Dolphins (17.5) and DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys (20). There were 19 teams in the NFL that had 30 or more sacks last season. Shaun Rogers was our top quarterback sack artist with 4.5. We had zero players in the top 30 in the NFL in sacks.
The statistics clearly point to our need for a better pass rush. Until that happens, our secondary will continue to be exploited no matter who is there. You simply cannot allow opposing QBs that much time in the pocket.
Any thought that the Browns can forego a defensive end or linebacker as our first pick in the upcoming Draft is nonsensical.
Go Browns!
