Week One

The Cleveland Browns lost the season opener. From my viewpoint the game showed alot more promise for the upcoming season than anything.People need to keep in mind the Vikings are among the cream of the crop in the NFL,the toughest team on this years schedule in my opinion.

Sure you could argue that Pittsburgh is the toughest team on the schedule this year, unless you want to base that on this year or the fact that they won the Super Bowl. The Steelers season opener against Tennessee wasn't real impressive, although they barely managed to win it.Based on what I've seen this year,Minnesota is the better team.

I think Brady Quinn did a decent job and will only get better as he continues to get a feel for his offense. He made a couple mistakes but that's gonna happen, overall it was a solid performance.Jamal didn't do as awful as made to be this preseason, after all he was going up against the #1 run defense coming into this season.

The real thing you watch in the season opener is "The trenches".Did the O-line and the D- line perform impressively?Absolutely.Considering their competition, they should be applauded, what an improvement from last year. The defense is on pace to have four times as many sacks as last year. The offensive line did a good job holding off the Williams boys' and Jared Allen.

So after an unfortunate loss to the Vikings, the good news is that they've already faced their toughest challenge this year.Coach Mangini will work with the team and improve areas that need improvement.Brady Quinn will continue to get acquainted with his offense, and the team as a whole can forget week 1 and focus on the upcoming challenge.

I like our match ups against the Broncos.I think the Browns will dominate in every category against them.Doing so will get the ball rolling in the right direction, gaining momentum and confidence week after week.So for all you fans saying "same old Browns",you might wanna wait another week or two before you say it out loud!

  1. I think BQ looked pretty bad. In the second half, his interception to solidified all momentum in Minesota's favor. Then his fumble iced the game. I'm not ready to give up on him, but I bet we'll see DA start at some point this season.

I don't agree with: I think Brady Quinn did a decent job and will only get better as he continues to get a feel for his offense. He made a couple mistakes but that's gonna happen, overall it was a solid performance.
